24MX GetzenRodeo: Billy Bolt wins the 24MX GetzenRodeo Prolog 2025
In front of packed grandstands, the 24MX GetzenRodeo 2025 kicked off on Friday afternoon. As tradition dictates, the event began with the Prolog, where two riders competed head-to-head on a short but technically demanding course. The fastest lap time decided not only the Prolog ranking but also the starting order for Saturday morning’s GetzenRace.

Heavy rainfall in the days leading up to the event had left the track soft and slippery – much to the delight of the spectators, who were treated to plenty of spectacular drifting action. The biggest challenge, however, was a steep downhill jump over a rock, immediately followed by a wooden ramp crossing a creek – a section that required plenty of courage from the riders.
The day began with the national riders, among them several international competitors without an FIM World Championship license. In the fourth pairing, however, the crowd witnessed a scary moment: due to a technical issue, Emil Kessler was unable to accelerate and crashed heavily at the creek jump. He initially remained on the ground but was later released from the hospital and back in the paddock by the evening – fortunately doing well under the circumstances.
For a long time, 16-year-old Henry Strauss held the lead. The young German once again impressed with a strong performance, finishing 12th out of 64 riders and ranking as the second-best German, just behind Manuel Lettenbichler.

The big showdown came with Manuel Lettenbichler and Billy Bolt, the two superstars of the sport. In their head-to-head duel, it was Billy Bolt who posted the fastest time of the day, securing victory and the title of 24MX GetzenRodeo Prolog Champion 2025. Behind him, Mitch Brightmore once again demonstrated his Prolog skills – just as he did recently in Turkey – and claimed second place, leaving Lettenbichler to settle for third.
The action continues on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. with the GetzenRace, a grueling 120-minute challenge, before the final showdown in the GetzenChamp on Saturday afternoon will determine the overall winner of the 24MX GetzenRodeo 2025.
