Slowly it’s getting serious. The first pilots are getting familiar with the track, while the Getzen crew is finishing up the final track work. In the new paddock directly at the Zschopau, below the Scharfensteiner Castle, the trucks of the KTM and Husqvarna factory teams are parked.
On the previous Reformation Day, it became finally clear that the time for the GetzenRodeo has come. Now it is also time to announce further important information.
Timetable
For the fans, the schedule is particularly important, as the racing action has been significantly expanded this year. The drivers will begin their training on the track at 11:00 am on Friday, November 3rd. The first race for seconds on the same track will take place from 2:00 pm. The time trial will determine, in 2 sessions, who will be allowed to participate in the evening’s prologue, the Red Bull Double Trouble. The 16 best drivers from the afternoon session will compete for the day’s victory on a track that even passes through the festival tent. The first prize money will be awarded to the top 3, which will undoubtedly be celebrated with the fans at the Opening Party in the festival tent.
On Saturday, the GetzenRodeo Race Day begins at 10:00 am. For over 2 hours, the Riders will be determined for the GetzenChamp in the GetzenRace. A total of 20 pilots will reach the final, which begins at 2:00 pm. The finish line with the subsequent award ceremony is planned for 3:30 pm. In the evening, the lights are sure to stay on for quite a while at the GetzenNacht in the festival tent.

Directions
Currently, there are many road closures in the Erzgebirge, which also make the journey to GetzenRodeo difficult. However, with this description, everyone should be able to find their way to Grießbach. If coming from Chemnitz, the route should pass through Amtsberg, Gelenau, and Venusberg. From Venusberg, the path leads directly to the parking lot in the upper area of the track in Grießbach. If coming from Annaberg-Buchholz/Marienberg, one should take the B174 to Zschopau. As the access towards Scharfenstein in Grossolbersdorf is blocked and due to the new paddock, passage through Scharfenstein is not possible. The route from Zschopau goes through Wilischthal to Grießbach, where the signposted parking lots are located.
The most convenient way to arrive is by taking the Erzgebirgsbahn to Scharfenstein station. From there, it takes only 5 minutes to reach the new paddock.
